The Show

Q: Are new episodes of Hey Arnold! still being made?
A: No. The last episodes to be produced were "The Journal" and "April Fools Day."

Q: Where/how can I watch episodes? Is the show on DVD?
A: See the front page for current air times. Hey Arnold isn't available on DVD, but you can try writing Nickelodeon so that they know there's an interest. Your other options are:

  • Get a digital cable or satellite package that includes the Nicktoons Network channel. Reruns of Hey Arnold! air weekday mornings.
  • Buy the VHS tapes Nick released a few years ago. There are only a handful of episodes available, but at least it's something. See the merchandise page for details.
  • Check the "Nick Rewind" section of Turbo Nick. Sometimes you can watch HA! episodes there.
Q: What happened to the series, and the second movie?
A: Nickelodeon's original plan was to have the Snee Oosh crew produce a movie about Arnold's parents, nicknamed "The Jungle Movie" because it takes place in Central America (near the city of San Lorenzo). However they used the "Arnold Saves the Neighborhood" movie in theaters instead. They demanded that Craig sign an exclusivity contract (so that Craig would not be allowed to work for anyone but Nickelodeon). He refused, and Nick cancelled plans for the Jungle Movie.

Q: But that stinks! Can't we do something to make Nick change their minds, like send letters or e-mails?
A: The odds are against Arnold unfortunately, but if you want to do your part in helping the show, you should write a letter to Nickelodeon expressing your interest in the series and the Jungle Movie. Send it via the postal service. Do not bother e-mailing them, signing online petitions, or doing anything online. Nickelodeon won't pay attention to them. Some fans have started a letter campaign. Find more info about it here.

Q: What's Nickelodeon's address?
A:
Nickelodeon
1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036

Q: What has Craig Bartlett been up to since Hey Arnold ended?
A: After Hey Arnold!, Craig left Nickelodeon to work at Cartoon Network. There he created the TV movie Party Wagon, pitched some show ideas that unfortunately didn't get picked up, and did some story editing for Johnny Bravo. He has since left Cartoon Network and is working on new animation projects from his studio in California.

Q: I heard about a Hey Arnold! spin-off called The Patakis. What is it about, and is it going to air?
A: The Patakis was Craig Bartlett's idea of a spin-off, set in the future and focusing on a 15 year-old Helga and her family. The idea was never picked up by any stations so it will not be produced or aired.

The Site

Q: Why don't you have any sounds/character guides/fanfiction/[insert something this site doesn't have]?
A: My site is fairly comprehensive but I only put up stuff I actually want to put up. If it isn't up, I either didn't care enough about it or it's already up on other sites.

The Forum

Q: What happened to all the posts on the forum? Some of the pages are blank, and many of the messages are missing.
A: The EZboard web server was hacked in 2005 and most of the messages were lost. You can still post new messages to the forum, but the place has unfortunately been like a ghost town since the incident. See the last question on this page for links to other active forums.

Q: I want to talk to Craig/ask him a question. Can you give me his e-mail?
A: No, we cannot give out Craig's e-mail. If you have a question about the show, you should ask the people of the community. One of them will probably know the answer. If it's something only Craig can answer, your best bet is to ask an administrator to pass it on to him.

Q: How old do I have to be to post here?
A: You should be no younger than 13. Young children who post are violating EZboard policy, but we probably won't make a huge deal out of it unless the poster's behavior is disruptive or otherwise not mature enough for the forum.

Q: What are the rules of the forum? How should I behave?
A: You should just go with the flow and behave like everyone else does. Things like mild swearing are okay as long as you don't go overboard or attack people.

Q: Who's in charge of the forum?
A: Phoebe1533 is the founder and administrator. Kaeli and NurseDoomed are administrators, and Dahmon, Aeris, and YZEtc are moderators. Moderators are subject to change.

Q: Can I be an admin/mod?
A: If the time comes for a new admin or mod, it will be announced in the forum. Ask then.

Q: Why can't I post my fanfics in the Writing Forum?
A: Because a fanfic archive already exists on the Internet. Fanfiction.net is a site designed to house your fanfiction, and they have a section for Hey Arnold fanfics. If you don't like FF.net, there are other Hey Arnold! sites out there that will host your fanfic. You will still be allowed to announce and link to your fanfics in the Writing Forum, if you wish.

Q: No offense, but are there other Hey Arnold! forums out there?
A: Arnold's Room, Arnold's Eyes, and the Hey Arnold Livejournal community are fairly active forums today. Nick.com also has a forum for Hey Arnold, however it is heavily moderated. They will not post your message until after an administrator reads and approves it.
